Summit's Tube-Bag © Filter represents a radical departure from conventional liquid filtration technology. Solutions are filtered through the inside of the throwaway tube-bags, removing all suspended solids, which are bagged as a dry cake for quick, clean disposal.

The mess and costly down time for conventional cleaning are eliminated - tube bags are replaced in minutes - no solution losses, no filter "wash-off" to overload waste disposal systems. Exclusive tube-bags - at 1/10th cost of equivalent lengths of filter cartridges - are available in particle retention porosities of 1, 2 5, 7, 10, 15, and 25 microns, or larger.

Precoating, if desired, is obtained with diatomaceous earth placed in a dispenser inside the top of the filter chamber.

An optional slurry tank is available for the addition of dissolved chemicals to the bath, which may also be used for precoating.

Tube Bag Filter Model CK35-12-8-CC8, equipped with optional Carbo-Klear, for simultaneous, continuous or intermittent carbon treating. Not visible is optional filter-aid dispenser which fits inside the top of the filter chamber. This model has 12-50" Tube Bags providing 26 square feet of filter area and a flow rate of 4800 GPH. (Note: Precoating is not necessary, since Tube Bags are available in particle retention porosities of 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 25 microns, or larger.)

Tube Bag Filter Model CK50-16-12-MC8 equipped with optional Carbo-Klear, for simultaneous, continuous or intermittent carbon treating, and slurry tank for chemical additions and/or precoating. This model has 16 50" Tube Bags providing 40 square feet of filter area and a flow rate of 7200 GPH. (NOTE: Precoating is not necessary, since Tube Bags are available in particle retention porosities of 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 25 microns, or larger.)

Tube Bag Filter Model 10-5-CC8. This model has five 50" Tube Bags providing 16 square feet of filter area and a flow rate of 3000 GPH. All models available with optional carbon treatment tower, slurry tank, filter aid dispenser, and by-pass transfer manifold for independent use of pump.

Pumps and Motors

Sealless, leakproof, magnetically driven centrifugals, close coupled to motor.

The only moving part in the solution is the plastic encapsulated impeller magnet which rotates on a silica free ceramic internal shaft, impervious to a wide range of acid and alkaline solutions.

  • Model MC4.6 Ryton construction. Delivers up to 2200 GPH and develops 22 psi at shutoff. Motor is H.P., TEC, 115/230 volts, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz, or 230/460 volts, 3 phase. Unless otherwise specified, motor is supplied wired for 115 volts, 1 phase, with switch, cord and grounding plug.
  • Model MC5 Polypropylene construction. Delivers up to 3200 GPH and develops 28 psi at shutoff. Motor is H.P., TEFC, 115/230 volts, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz, or, 230/460 volts, 3 phase. Unless otherwise specified, motor is supplied wired for 115 volts, 1 phase, with switch, cord and grounding plug.
  • Model MC8 Polypropylene construction. Delivers up to 8,100 GPH and develops 41 psi at shutoff. Motor is 3 H.P., TEFC, 230/460 volts, 3 phase, 60 Hz.

Pumps with mechanical seals.

  • Model CC8 Constructed of molded CPVC. Single mechanical seal. Close coupled to a 2 H.P., TEFC motor, 3450 RPM, 230/460 volts, 3 ph., 50/60 H2. Water flushed seals available.
  • Model VC3 Vanton polypropylene centrifugal, water flushed mechanical seals or products flushed seal is available as an option. Flexible coupled to a 3 H.P., TEFC, 3450 RPM motor, 230/460 volts, 3 ph., 50/60 H2.
  • Model VC12 Same specifications as model VC3, except motor is 5 H.P., TEFC, 1750 RPM, 230/460 volts, 3 ph., 50/60 H2.
  • Model VC18 Same specifications as model VC12, except motor is 7 H.P., TEFC, 1750 RPM, 230/460 volts, 3 ph. 50/60 H2.

All Tube-Bag filters are supplied as a complete system. Filter, pump and interconnecting pipe, valves, fittings, pressure gauge and air blowdown pressure regulator.

One set of disposable Tube-Bags with insertion tool are supplied with each unit.

Filter is mounted on a epoxy coated base with 2" high steel skids.

Unless otherwise specified by customer, inlet and discharge shall be flanged.

Hoses are not supplied with these systems. *Also available in steel, rubber lined steel, or stainless steel construction. ASME Coded vessels available.
